Ohana Q - Kailua-Kona

I was very impressed! I've wanted to eat here ever since it opened, and I wasn't disappointed! The food is fantastic, and the BBQ sauce is incredible! The outdoor seating is great, too. I was surprised that the place wasn't packed! The smoked mac and cheese was delicious, and the hornbrot was amazing! I loved it! I'll definitely be back. I'm quite particular, so don't let my comment discourage you, but the food could have been served at a warmer temperature. Overall, it's a great place! Aloha!

This charming little restaurant is conveniently located right in front of the main tourist area. Inside, there are bar seats, with additional tables available at both the front and back. However, the back area lacked sufficient airflow and got quite hot. I ordered the BBQ plate and garlic BBQ shrimp, and both the pulled pork and brisket were fantastic. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, large, and flavorful. The Carolina BBQ sauce, smoked mac and cheese, and coleslaw were all excellent as well.

I had a great experience at this restaurant. The staff was friendly, and the meals had a comforting, homemade vibe. The food was a bit richer than I expected, but the pulled pork was fantastic. I really enjoyed the Lilikoi Lemonade as well. It’s a perfect getaway from the crowds!

Brisket, pulled pig and ribs were well executed. My son was very satisfied with his BBQ shrimp shell and my daughter, a 10yo Mac and cheese connoisseur, said it was among the best she had. Mac

Immensely enjoyed our dinner here! The platters were quite large and everything was fantastic. Very quick service!
