Barefoot Zone - Kailua-Kona

I ordered the Pesto Crepe, which was a delightful medley of avocado, cauliflower, broccoli, mushrooms, and thinly sliced rainbow carrots, accompanied by a flavorful broth soup filled with vegetables, barley, and even a few playful alphabet pasta shapes. My daughter and I happily shared the crepe, and the fruit bowls were so beautifully presented that they looked like artworks worthy of purchase. What a wonderful surprise to discover this place!

This restaurant had been closed for a while due to COVID, but it's now reopened at a new location, and I couldn't be happier. It was my favorite restaurant in Kona before, and it still is. The food is excellent and nutritious, and they offer a variety of wonderful vegetables that are hard to find in Hawaii. The portion sizes are generous, making it well worth the price! The staff is incredibly friendly, and the food truly warms the soul. It feels like a home-cooked meal prepared by a mother who just happens to be a talented vegan and gluten-free chef. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to everyone. Please give it a try—you won't regret it!

A hidden gem in Captain Cook, this restaurant offers fresh and delicious food accompanied by friendly service. We enjoyed the burrito with soup and the dragon fruit bowl, and we will definitely return before our trip ends. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

Great place. We tried the açai bowls and juices. The bowls were full of freshly cut fruits. They were fresh and tasty and we wish we could have come back for more options in the menu were tempting. Too bad it's opening pretty late in the morning. Don't miss it!

Was referred by a local so found this gem in the Islander Inn. Fresh, vegan friendly and have good vegetarian food too. The service was good and everything was made on the spot freshly so nothing pre-made which was fabulous. Definitively will be back for the acai superbowl. The burrito and quesadilla was delicious and very filling. Happy to have come here for vegan food.
