Journey Cafe - Kailua Kona

This restaurant was a standout during our visit to the Big Island. I ordered the falafel pita, which was superb. The male waiter provided helpful recommendations that were spot on. We will definitely be returning to this place.

This is my favorite place on the big island for vegan eating. my favorite dishes are the baked lava pasta and the travel pizza. They also have the best seasoned jackfruit I ever had. I noticed, however, that it tastes a little different every time. it doesn't matter to me because it adds a certain variety and the element of the surprise lol, but when I came here, the portions were large, and the last time I left, they were much smaller. either this is a must try for vegans on the big island

The menu has only to eat about any I would ever wish, it is hard not to order it at once! I ordered the crowned green package with flafel, because falafel is a favorite of me, with the pasta salat and coleslaw side, $22 overall. the sides were both very delicious, but I preferred the pasta salad. the package was huge, big enough for two people or one if they are very, very hungry. I can't wait to go back to another meal and try something else!

This was our first time trying a vegan restaurant in Kona. The avocado flatbread didn't impress us, but the mac and cheese were delicious! We only dined here once because there were too many jackfruit options on the menu, and unfortunately my body doesn't respond well to it.

We enjoyed everything we ordered, including the avocado flatbread, lava pasta, Mac n cheese, and more!
