Hico - Kailua Kona

Came here for the Musubi and stayed for the ambiance. I’d give it 3 stars for food and 5 stars for the setting. We ordered the vegan musubi, chia oat pudding, and vegan panini. Unfortunately there were no vegan donuts today. The musubi was bland but I’ll give it an A for effort. The pudding was nice and filling. The panini was delicious but it was small. Needed to be more to justify the price. The setting is open air and filled with a nice breeze, which is great during corona-days. Plenty of parking too!

I was on a mission for sustenance when Herbivores did not open at the regular 8am. I found it here with a delicious vegan panini. Definitely worth the walk.

I came at 3:15 and the vegan items were all gone. Iced coffee with oat milk is good. $5 and they have Agave and Turbinado sugar for sweeteners.

Put Spam musubi back on the menu or at least replace it with another vegan item. At least 1 vegan pastries available

So excited to find a place with vegan malasadas. Would definitely recommend. Lots of vegan items and items that can be made vegan.
