808 Grindz Cafe - Kailua Kona

This restaurant is a great spot for breakfast and brunch. The portion sizes are just right for the price. The food quality is decent—nothing extraordinary, but also nothing to complain about. However, it was a bit too warm inside, and the tables felt a bit cramped. Please note that they only accept cash.

Good food at a really good price, especially on the Big Island Hawaii. Portion size is basic, but they do have a variety of menu options. At the time of our visit, they were doing some renovations so we couldn?t go inside. This is one of many places people review on YouTube, so we figured to give it a try. The gentleman at the front door took our order, and I think we waited for about 10-15 minutes. He was friendly and cordial. Outside there are 3 tables to sit and eat at. More and more people came by while we waited. There were plenty of free parking and bunch of other shops and food venues around. It may be a little hard to find, but for sure use Google maps.

Heavy but tasty. 808 is a family-run restaurant with take-out only service. They have seats outside, but the parking lot setting will heat up fast. We ordered a variety of mocos and Benedicts. The smoked meat moco was recommended by the owner. We also got a Benedict trio, a kalua hash Benedict, and the Portuguese sausage moco. All super tasty, salty and rich. Will definitely recommend, but probably after an afternoon or activity.

Wonderful experience! Stopped here for breakfast?service was fast and food was delicious. I was striking out on finding good food on my trip, but this changed the game. I had the coconut pancakes with the coconut syrup and the hash side. Delicious! Cash only was a downside.

Absolutely the BEST breakfast! We tried the SPAM Moco and the 808 Gridz Classic Moco, both of which were delicious! The service was great, and the staff were very friendly. The atmosphere was really cool, and the food was fantastic. I would highly recommend it!
