Wasou - Kagoshima

Cozy place with a few table, very nice food served. Rice, noodle, fried menu were all good and also side dishes were delicious. I ate here with my parents and we're all happy. for lunch. I wish I could eat here. to visit recommand.

What a great place! The staff (owner, waitress, cook) was very helpful and friendly but not on the face. You have a very well written and comprehensive English menu. I ordered 4 or 5 different Shochus on the recommendation of the waitress, all great. Had a lot of fun otherwise sitting at the bar and a brilliant impromptu koto performance from one of the part-time employees, but this is also the kind of place where you sit and drink and are not disturbed. Oh, and the food was delicious big portions, but they do half portions of everything so ask if you are on their own. The price... In Tokyo, I would have paid twice and considered myself a good value.

You have a variety of fish/meat/ vegetables dishes, so you went to this place TI総 (Wasou) for dinner on a strong recommendation from several hostels staff. One of them said he wished he could have joined me for dinner at night as food is so good, but he had to work LOL. After dinner there, I understand why!! Also suitable for a solo traveler. Staff there are very friendly and helpful and passionate about their food and Shochu When I went, they had a sukiyaki set for 1 for less than JPY 1000... could be a seasonal thing but it is worth asking. *This place is super popular, so try to call and book in advance, also for a 1 seat at the switch.
