Kawakyu - Kagoshima

The curobuta rosu katsu (1,900JPY for 150g). I thought it was an ordinary katsu, but young I was wrong. the flesh was pink in the middle (they will ask you if you agree to placing your order) and it was so juicy? it was amazing how tender and juicy it was. and the fat was so sweet with a natural sweet (shortly known for its sweet fat, so I am not sure whether the normal rosu katsu would taste so good). if they are not good with fat, they will get the rental katsu. If they are a great eater, they can consider for the jyo (200g). I already had many “premium” tonkatsus, but that’s the first thing I could taste a different one, and a stark one. they offered 3 sauces (on the table): Tonkatsu sauce, Shiyu sauce, Yuzu-Mano sauce. there was a sign on the table that they could ask the staff for salt, karashi, mayo etc. I recommend the Shiyu sauce so that they can taste the sweet of the flesh. the price is definitiw higher than its regular running-of-the-mill to katsu, but it is not expensive for what they get. a try if your budget allows. they were the advertising that took out 10% at that time. but I lined 30min before the load was opened, but I was still in the second group to be let in. so overall it was a 1 hour waiting for me overall. I could not recommend this place enough. it was 100% worth the time and wait for me.

As recommended by tabelog, the pork is great here and juicy with correct fat. it can take them some time to longer before the business, but wait.

Very local tonkatsu restaurant. We chose two sets of kurobuta (black pork) which were very nice. Pork was juicy and tender. One of the best tonkatsu we have in Japan.

Great place to enjoy the local kurobuta, but a little bit expensive. Also cheaper options available. Very friendly and accommodating service. It was busy at lunch time, so be prepared to wait some time to get a table.

Fabulous tonkatsu! 5 minutes from the kagoshima train station. popular, so they get there early or plan to wait! but it is worth it!
