I saw the hotel’s responses to other reviews about the "economy" rooms (as an excuse for the thin walls), but I don’t consider $950 for three days to be "economy" pricing. This also doesn’t excuse the poor customer service, the inability to control the heat, the thin walls, or the cigarette odor. Regarding parking, the hotel advertised that it didn’t require reservations, but that was misleading. There are only about 20 very tight parking spots, and good luck finding one—it's likely you'll have to scour the street for parking. On a positive note, the location is great for dining and nightlife, but I wouldn’t recommend walking around alone after dark. As for Juneau itself, we loved it! **Rooms**: Very small, no microwave or mini-fridge. **Safety**: Not safe for solo walks after dark. **Walkability**: Very walkable. **Food & Drinks**: Plenty of options.
To make matters worse, these people had access to the elevator and could go upstairs to the rooms. If you happened to be in the hallway looking for ice, you might unexpectedly encounter them. Thankfully, when our taxi arrived, the driver got out and told us to get in quickly. I tried calling the office multiple times to check if anyone was there, but there was no answer, which was alarming. I will never stay here again, nor would I recommend it to anyone.
We had breakfast at the restaurant; some guests enjoyed buffet credits, but we opted to order entrees. I highly recommend the French toast topped with cinnamon and honey butter—it’s reminiscent of a cinnamon bun! Additionally, the hotel offers a luggage room, which can be very helpful if you need to check out before your cruise or flight.
We were glad we stayed here due to its central location. Everything we wanted to see was within walking distance. The room is tiny but clean. The bed was so comfortable and the sheets smelled like fresh air. It’s very pricey, but so were all the places I searched.
Pretty decent hotel in a nice location walking distance to the shops, breweries, and docks. There was only a box fan and no air conditioning so it was difficult to sleep even with the windows open, made easier only because the bed was extremely comfortable. The tub was clean and a massage shower head was the newest thing in the bathroom. There was ample space but not enough bright lights in the room to use the mirror outside of the bathroom. We had breakfast in the restaurant and some patrons had buffet card credits but we didn't and just bought entrees. I highly recommend the French toast covered in cinnamon and honey butter... It's like a cinnamon bun. They also have a luggage room to help if you need to checkout before your cruise or flight.
