Viking Inn - Junction City

I was recommended this restaurant by my service representative at Bish's RV while I was waiting for my repairs. I had an amazing steak sandwich there.

I wouldn’t know what the food tastes like because the service was way too slow and I left to go to the 99 grill restaurant instead. I ordered my meal and drink and sat there for like 10 minutes waiting and still no orange juice or water. I noticed there were at least 6 tables that only had water on the table no menus so they were very clearly backed up and short staffed. The staff in general was not very welcoming either, especially the short black haired guy, possibly the manager? He wasn’t really doing much while the 2 waitresses were kinda scrambling around. The 99 grill was fast staff was super friendly, I’m glad I didn’t waste my money here.

They have great burgers and fries. I especially love the steak salad!

To be honest there's not a lot open in Junction City on a Saturday night, so our selection of places to eat was limited and our hopes for tasty food were not very high. We were pleasantly surprised with the Viking Inn. It was late and we were hungry so we were not put off by them only offering fried foods (we were told that this was not the ordinary situation). The chicken fingers were HUGE. They were served piping hot with tasty and crispy tater tots. The fried shrimp basket was tasty and the onion rings were delicious. The cocktail sauce could have been better. The location was clean and inviting. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even given the menu limitations. We sat outside, which is on a busy street that is frequently interrupted by loud motor vehicles. Was it the Ritz? No. Was it what we needed? 100%. I would go again. Parking: Parking lot is free but it's pretty tight in and out.
