The 3 salsa starter included warm homemade chips. Fish tacos were delicious. Great service friendly and attentive.
Star ratings. 1 bad. 2 below average. 3 average neutral. 4 good. 5 excellent.Food details last. This is 3 restaurants in one. Mexican, italiain and oriental. Realistically, it's a bar with food. I believe this just used to be Mexican, and then the Italian and oriental were added. My assumption was that sales were down, and they were trying to diversify to increase revenue. They are not chefs. This is a bar with blah food, not a restaurant in short. At least for the Mexican we had, the other genres could be different. We've usually gone to JJ's for Mexican before they retired and have wanted to try Moja Rosa's. I'm fully aware I went in the off-season, and it's difficult to control food cost, etc, at this time, but stale food should never be served.Party of 4. 3 waters, 1 margarita, taco salad, burrito, enchilada, 2 tacos with side of rice, guac. After tip, $90.Note meals are a la carte, so rice, etc, is $3.50 each additional.Didn't order the salsa trio, which was salsa, queso, and guac for $20. Note that guac is $9 by itself or $14 for a large. Assuming under the trio is regular size, which means 5.50 each for jarred queso and salsa. I pay $6 for fresh made salsa at major metropolitan higher end restaurants, not for a jar.Food was beyond bland. Salt would've done wonders. Taco salad shell was really stale.Chips that came with the guac were mixed some old some not. Guac had cilantro onions and tomatoes as it should, but there was no freshness to it. it was just bland. As was everyones meal. The Barbacoa was just shredded beef. But at least I had some seasoning.I think the waitress was newer, so we didn't give her a hard time and only asked for the chips with the guac she forgot. My burrito came with tomatoes, which i asked for none. Ordered chicken enchiladas they served barbacoa ones instead.
Food wasn't the worst, but not the best. I'd recommend waiting to get your Mexican fix if you're looking for good food. I tried nachos with Barbacoa. The table side guacamole was pretty good, but not worth the price. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful with ordering and service was fast.Dietary restrictions: They weren't great for accommodations for a friend who has a gluten intolerance.
Tourist!! Do not go here. Where do I even start?? I guess with the two good items out of seven. The guacamole was good and the chicken tenders were good. But I think they tasted amazing because everything else was terrible. The “general tso” chicken was not cooked properly, flavorless, and terrible portion size for 22 dollars!! The Pad Thai was NOT COOKED. The chicken was FLOPPING with Fettuccine noodles??? Absolutely not. The “deconstructed” crab Rangoon dip was disgusting. It smelled of OLD ROTTING FISH. I personally ordered the chicken quesadilla, and I promise you that the meat tasted and looked like Italian beef. The tortillas were so soggy that I couldn’t even pull off the tortilla to eat the inside of the quesadilla. Finally the “queso” dip. Y’all I promise you that it looked and smelled like broccoli cheese soup. I am never one to bash a restaurant or write a negative review. My grandparents owned a restaurant for 20 years. I understand the struggles of the food industry. HOWEVER! This food is unacceptable. This is the first and hopefully the last negative review I leave on a restaurant. ALSO!!! We attempted to call them after we got home and tasted our food in hopes to catch someone to talk to about the food, however no one answered the phone. They closed two hours early. Gordon Ramsey needs to come to town and do an overhaul on this place. God bless.
