Le Café De La Fontaine - Joucas

What a lovely discovery. The Café de la Fontaine offers remarkable food quality as well as an idyllic setting. Housed on the terrace of the Relai Château Le Phebus, we discover a magnificent place and park in the center of a silent and natural landscape. The service is pleasant and discreet, the atmosphere comfortable for this bistro with a rather relaxed dress code. We chose a two-course menu, wine by the glass possible. In this refined and luxurious, yet relaxed setting, I see my entry of fennel and it's almost a shame to break the perfect balance of the flowers placed on top. Poultry and melon are also a delight for the eyes and taste. Thank you for the welcome, for this special moment. Thanks to chef Xavier Mathieu.

Much too expensive for what is proposed. The terrace is OK but too close to the pool and hotel holidaymakers. The dishes are acceptable, but not at this price. When we compare with Nutile's bistronomial in Nimes, there is a world of difference. Finally, 13 EUR the glass of rosé is 4 euros more than the Table d'Uzès in the region also... but with a star. Good for tourists.

Excellent memories of these moments in this haven of peace. On the evening of our arrival we have dinner at the gastronomic restaurant Xavier Mathieu. Dedicated to a 3-star dinner, this dinner will be engraved in our memories and is part of the most beautiful tables we have been able to discover in the region. The soup with pistou, the mixture land and sea of the pig with caviar are simply great art!. Perfect service, very attentive staff. Our room was spacious, tastefully decorated, with great comfort. The next day breakfast on the terrace: a treat! Follow a little relaxation at the spa: perfect! Finally, a stop at the bistro: the feet and packages are excellent! Quick and careful service. We will return for sure!!!

Stayed at LePhebus during our visit through Provence. So it was natural we will be trying out this Michelin star restaurant, after chatting with the chef...

This was one of most amazing meals I have ever enjoyed. The service was impeccable, the small chef treats just divine. The candy cart! Truly an experience....
