In the previous night itself we had. gathered that this is the best option available in Badrinath. The restaurant did not disappoint. The stuff was fresh, hot and tasty, worth the money spent. Some foreigners were also enjoying south indian delicacies here. Best thing is it's location.
We visited this restaurant for breakfast while in Badrinath. Just Opposite of temple near parking area. We ordered paratha , Dosa , Pakoda and Tea. All the items were good and fresh.Recommended while your visit in Badrinath.
Saket is a pure vegetarian restaurant near Shri Badrinath Temple. One can get Udupi items here, which are very rarely found in Uttarakhand.
It is situated on the river banks and offers good view while eating out. Menu has many vegetarian options but I was refused something as simple as Aloo Poori citing non availability while it was still being served to few guests as they were acquaintences of the owner. All that was offered to us was overpriced Masala Dosa at Rs.120/ . not even Idaly or Vada or anything from north Indian. That was 5pm in the evening. Very disappointed.
My wife and I, along with three other families totaling 8 members, visited the holy temple Badrinath on May 29, 2019. After receiving blessings from God, on our way back to the lodge, we stopped near the Saket restaurant. We had breakfast at the restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by the delicious and tasty food, similar to that of South India, particularly Hyderabad in Telangana. I suggested to the restaurant manager to reduce the quantity of tea and also the price, to which he agreed. I highly recommend anyone visiting Badrinath to try the food at this restaurant.
