Chavela's Mexican Cuisine - Joplin

So far best Mexican food in Joplin. Would have scored higher but I felt my relleno chile was right at it's overdue date. The food was very well flavored. Service was ok but I believe we might have got there right at a shift change. My husband loved everything. I mean loved. Could stand a little deep clean and some upgrades but overall not bad. I've eaten at much worse. We will eat their again. Try their guacamole. A definite go.

We recently discovered Chavela's and have tried them twice now. There are anywhere from 4 to 9 usually meeting up to eat and they have been very accommodating even though their seating area is kind of small. The staff has been very friendly both times we have been there and everyone in my party commented on how good they thought their meal was.

Have gone to Chavela's several times for dinner. Their fajitas are great with very generous portions. Service is fast and courteous.Food: 5/5

Love close by and had never been so we have it a try the other night. Wife and son loved their enchiladas. I got the Huveos Ranchero. It wasn't bad just didn't care for the beans on it. We will be back to try new things. The menu is huge so plenty to choose from.
