Dunkin' - Johnston

This is my local Dunkin', and I must say that I keep coming back because it's so convenient. The drinks are consistently great, and the inside is usually clean and well-kept. However, I've noticed that some of the staff can be unfriendly or have a negative demeanor, even when I try to be extra polite, which is a bit off-putting. The quality of the donuts can vary quite a bit. Some days they're soft and delicious, while other days they're tough and crunchy, even though I visit around the same time, about 7 am. They often fall behind on fulfilling pickup orders, so even if you place an order ahead of time, you might still have to wait a while once you're there. Today, though, there seems to be a very friendly manager on duty! I recommend this location if you're nearby, but just keep in mind that your experience may not always be perfect.

I would recommend steering clear of this place. The service is incredibly slow! I've visited several times, and it's consistently the same experience. The drive-thru line is painfully slow. They really need to consider new management. Today, with just three cars ahead of me, it took 15 minutes to get my order.

The cup was filled with more foam than coffee. I was the only customer there, yet it took a long time to be served. The young employee at the drive-thru didn't seem properly trained.

Basically felt like a Starbucks experience. We ordered dark roast coffee another drink, then paid (bill tip) and waited. Little while later our other drink was ready and we find out (they waited until then to tell us) they are out of dark roast and just have regular. Why didn't one of 3 employees ,standing around chitchatting, check right when it was ordered? Super unprofessional to proceed to wait until last minute to tell us they couldn't fill our order. Annoying they didn't offer refund or anything just regular. Other drink wasn't full either. Whatever. Shop looked clean and other drink we ordered tasted ok (not great too much milk) but for the money, meh customer service, and disappointment; we will not recommend or go back. Sad that the Kum Go across the road would have made things right (one way or another) from the start and cost at least half the price (including a donut) plus way faster. Friedrichs is just down the street in Urbandale and worth the short drive imo.

I really like their doughnuts. The staff and service at this store is ridiculous, however. Expect a long wait and that their staff will barely acknowledge you. They STILL have the stupid glass barriers up inside, which makes communication with their staff difficult.
