Five for five. Great local atmosphere and friendly staff. The wings were amazing and the prices were great. I recommend stopping for a drink and wing.
Tulips have one of the best lunches around. My last visit to my wife, I had the Catfish food. Two perfectly baked fillets that are perfectly prepared. I had the Pommes and Coleslaw. Heaping part of the Pommes, excellent Koleslaw. As usual a pinch of cold beer. My wife had the Buffalo chicken sluice. She didn't say much for the first minutes when she ripped off the first half of her wrap. She was happy on the other half when she finally grabbed some frits. I took it from her silence and constant tears into the pack that she was a happy camper. The service was good as usual at the end of lunch. In addition to the daily specialty, they have a complete compliment of the traditional tavern-tarife. They also make mixed drinks. It was nice enough that the outside seats had some lively customers. If you enjoy a friendly atmosphere a la Cheers, good food, sports on several TVs, and cold beer or drinks, tulips is a great place to eat, hang, and relax.
WOW this was the best Sunday brunch/lunch experience. I’m so glad our group went to Tulips and not IHOP or Wafflehouse on the Sunday we went. The staff were so friendly and Dina was the sweetest and kindest waitress. She made us the perfect beer mimosas! The pulled pork platter I had was tender and so flavorful. I would definitely go back to try the rest of the menu and experience more of the chill vibes here.
Delicious food at a reasonable price! Menu items range from burgers to steaks, with the price range running between $8-$12. My hubby and I ordered two house specialties: the fried liver and onions and the 9 oz. hamburger steak with onions. Both come smothered in a brown gravy. Each came with a salad and choice of a side. The Ranch Dressing was homemade. Portion sizes were large, and we were both full when we left. I didn't think to take pictures until partway done, but the bowl with the veggie choice is sized more like a cereal-sized bowl, and was filled full. My broccoli was actually cooked just right... not overcooked, not undercooked. Tulips is a pub, so there is a bar area. The walls were lined with TVs tuned to football. There was one side room that had a pool table and we noticed a dart board near the front door. The young woman who served us was attentive and friendly. Tables are spread out some for social distancing and there are outdoor dining options for those who prefer to do so. The menus are spray disinfected between customers.
