I have not been to Hooters in a long time, since my last visit they have remodeled and gone to a closed kitchen. For many years myself and my friend group came here every single week during their wing night, we enjoyed delicious wings at affordable prices, good company and a fun atmosphere. Alas, college graduations come and wing/beer friend groups go. Passing through today I decided to visit the old favorite and see how things were going. First of all, the remodel is fine but in my opinion it has killed the vibe a bit, the open kitchen and long bar were always fun to watch while waiting for a wing plate refill. The wings are pricey, I paid over $20 for a plate of 15, I don't blame this on the restaurant though, everything is too expensive these days, and honestly I would be happy to pay that occasionally for a quality plate of food. That's where I had an issue. The wings in their current state are just flat out not good. Overly breaded and too lightly sauced, with the heavy breading often falling off a good portion of the wing, I didn't finish my plate and it wasn't because I was full. In the past I remember large and breaded wings, dripping with sauce. These bad boys come nowhere close. The flavor is still there when you bite into a part of the wing that actually had the good fortune of getting sauced, but overall the wings just aren't good anymore. I would feel ashamed to only mention the bad so let me shine a light on the positives. The service is fantastic, as it has always been. Our waitress was friendly, swift, and accurate, I did not get her name as I guess they don't write it on the napkins anymore, but she was a bright spot during a dark experience. The food was fresh and hot, even if it wasn't very tasty or good quality. Overall I really hate to leave a negative review for this particular location because it seems like the issues I had probably come from a corporate level instead of local, the local control of things like service and food freshness was awesome. As much as it pains me to say it, skip this place and hope as I do that they find their way back to the light of old.
Visited this location after a long drive to get some food and time out of the car. The waitress was quick to seat us and get our drink orders. the menu has absolutely no prices on it. per the waitress, the main company got tired of having to print new menus with all the price changes. I'd we wanted though, there was a QR code on the table to use or phones to see prices. not very user friendly in my opinion. So I just went ahead and ordered 6 naked wings with medium Buffalo and a side salad. My husband ordered 3 chicken strips and fries with nacho cheese. My salad, was a said wilted bowl of lettuce, with a sprinkling of cheddar cheese and a tomato slice cut in half. I sent it back, I have no idea the price but I knew I wasn't eating it. my wings were not crisp skined and had little to no sauce. My husband's chicken straps were also chewy and under cooked. so he sent them back and just had fries for his dinner. We didn't complain, other then to send the food back and say to take it off our bill....but no manager checked with us to see why we refused to accept the food. This makes us think it must be a common occurrence. the bill ended up at $26, for 6 wings, 1 serving of fries and a beer. We probably will not be visiting this Hooters again. We still tipped the waitress, she has nothing to do with the food quality. so if your going to hang out and drink, maybe. if you are hoping for the wings Hooters is know for...avoid this location.
Can't tell you about the food. Waited 15 minutes in a half empty restaurant for a table for 2. When I asked one of the 3 employees loitering around the hostess station I was told the main hostess would be back to seat us. After she came back, was told we were waiting and didn't acknowledge us looked at her seating chart made a note and walked into the back we walked out the front door. Plenty of other places in a 5 minute drive in any direction. There won't be a need to go back.
I own a restaurant and six of my wings have more meat than the 15 I got for $21. I remember hooters being known for wings so I actually brought my wife in there just for them. Never again. Worst wings I've ever had
The absolute worst service I've ever had. Food wasn't even that great. The best part was when I left. Had a hard time swallowing my food because I couldn't get a drink. Almost had to call the paramedics! The fries were cold when they came out, the shrimp was 90% breading, and the burger was charcoal. The wings were good but the fries came out cold, couldn't get a drink if I was choking... then it took almost 35min to get my check to even leave.. I will certainly not be back.
