Simply Asia Boskruin - Johannesburg

Being a vegan, I have always appreciated the options provided by Simply Asia. However, the branch in Boskruin is by far the worst. The staff is miserable and the waiting time is extremely long. To make matters worse, my vegan meal contained bits of chicken. If you are looking for vegan options, I would advise against using this branch. The kitchen staff shows unprofessionalism and lack of respect towards customers' choices. It is clear that there is cross contamination happening behind closed doors. Separate stations should be implemented for vegan and meat-prepared meals. When I raised my concerns to the manager, he was indifferent and annoyed. He promised to replace the meal with a vegan option and took down my address for delivery, but no one ever arrived. This resulted in wasted money and food. This was the worst experience I have ever had, and I truly hope this place closes down.

This was the first place I visited after becoming vegan. We had a sit-down lunch and the server was very helpful with the vegan menu options. I have returned multiple times since then! A fantastic choice for when you're in the mood for Thai food.

A relaxing way to spend a special occasion or the last day of the year is with convenient and delicious vegan takeout, a bottle of perfectly chilled vegan Champagne, and loved ones. We arrived early at Simply Asia in Boskruin this morning before the official opening time, but great service never turns clients away. The staff offered us drinks, took our orders promptly, and the Chef started preparing our meals right away. Our food was ready by the time we finished our early morning meeting. The service was professional, friendly, and warm. Gilbert Chakanyuka's enthusiasm to please is refreshing. He always gets our orders right, remembers our names, and understands and respects our vegan lifestyle. We thank Gilbert and his team for making our family luncheon a success. It's important to end the year on a positive note to start the new one with good vibes. We highly recommend this establishment for vegans. Communication is key to having a great meal with all the extras. Let them know your preferences, as they are very accommodating. We also appreciated that our takeout was still hot after walking our dog for over half an hour. We ordered 319 or 514 with rice noodles, extra sauce, extra cooked mushrooms, and tofu as our protein choice. We asked for adequate cashews, no fish sauce or paste, Thai style heat, and medium heat on their side. We also requested sugar, chili flakes, chili in vinegar, and soy sauce on the side. We love Simply Asia!
