Calamari special was just terrible.rubbery and tough.<br/ <br/ Steak was great, waiter being Zimbabwean and understanding wine pairings was awesome, worthy of R 500 tip.<br/ <br/

Well, what can I say.... we ordered Lamb Shanks with Veggie sides and when it arrived, damn, we never expected this. 2 Large Lamb Shanks, Onion Rings, Salad and the Veggies for only R145ea. Well worth it and its was cooked to Perfection. Soft and Tender, Good Flavour. Had to do Take-Away, cause of the Large portion size. I will definitely recommend the Lamb Shank at Dros....

I have eaten here quite a few times. Waiters always attentive, food of good quality and great steaks. Drinks are cold, and their specials are also usually good. Not exactly fine dining, but it is a family restaurant and this is Midrand after all. Waaaay better than the Spur.

We visited spar at carlswald recently . It is nearer to our house so went there for some groceries shopping. The rates were quite economical only. But since we visited on a weekend it was a bit crowded. But you have enough parking places all the time.
