I discovered that they only offered bottled and canned drinks, which I didn't realize when I ordered; I had intended to get a glass of water and a Dr. Pepper, but ended up paying for both a can of Dr. Pepper and a bottle of water instead. My son ordered a cheesesteak, but he found it to be quite dry. I had a small stromboli, which I really enjoyed. We also ordered a large serving of fries, but they were a bit undercooked and soggy for my taste—though I suppose some people might prefer them that way. The service was friendly and as prompt as possible, especially considering the restaurant was packed with over 850 guests who arrived simultaneously on a special steam train. The restroom wasn't the most pleasant, but it was clean enough for my needs.
Our group of seven visited this place at least three times, grabbing slices and drinks each time. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the pizza was excellent!
I was very pleased with the two large pizzas we ordered from Antonio's. They offered a satisfying New York-style experience, and the crust was a dream for crust lovers. The two large pizzas were enough to feed four adults over two meals, providing excellent value. The Vegetable Special was loaded with a variety of well-cooked vegetables. The pepperoni and banana pepper pizza was also delicious. I would definitely recommend this place for takeout, especially for a group.
Went there for lunch after our train pulled into town. Despite being slammed with diners, staff was friendly and did their best to timely serve the guests. Food was good. Pricing as expected.
My wife and I like to try local pizza places when we travel, and this is a great little pizza place. We ordered a medium (six slices) with mushrooms and extra cheese, because most places skimp on the cheese, but that's not the case with Antonio's! It was too much cheese, but hey, that is what I ordered! The crust is perfectly done with that little crunch with each bite. The sauce is seasoned well and has little tomato chunks, it is so fresh. We also ordered a house salad and it was loaded with sweet peppers, black olives, tomatoes, onion...see the photo. Total bill was $32 and it was worth every penny. This is where we're stopping after our hikes around Jim Thorpe. Highly recommend.
