Lou's - Jersey City

Still a hidden gem. Great food, good prices, friendly waitresses/cook. Always busy, even at 530am every morning for my coffee.

Great place for breakfast. Service is friendly and fast. Tables and counters were clean. Grits were delicious. I didn't like the idea of deep frying the pork sausage but it did not take away from the taste. The scrambled eggs on my ham egg and cheese sandwich were bland. That is the only reason I did not give a 5 star rating. Coffee is delicious. Menu is extensive and reasonably priced.

Great food and fantastic customer service. The hospitality makes you feel a part of the family. My dad is a regular; when he walked in they already prepared his drink...that is more than hospitality, that's love. Thank you Lou's! Jasmia

It's our neighborhood version of CHEERS! Good simple food, service is attentive and fun and then there's the cast of characters of customers. Whether you on your way to church or coming in from being out all night and everyone in between, it always feels like a family reunion. Lou's has been here for at least 50 years. A must for all to experience.
