El Pollo Supremo - Jersey City

Food is hit or miss Chicken can be dry and tasteless at times. Was definitely better in the early days. Ribs are bland.Food: 3/5

On June 16, 2023, the beans had a foul odor, as if they were three days old. The chicken was lackluster and dry. Overall, I would rate the food a 1 out of 5.

Not even going to waste the time writing a detailed review. Have given this place more than one chance. Intentionally withheld items. (As with a fair majority of Jersey City Heights), If you’re black, just go elsewhere.

I'm not sure if it was because it was 7 PM and they were tired, or if there's a genuine issue with prejudice. As an Arab, I experienced some hostility and was called names. The employees whispered to each other in Spanish when I simply asked for spicy mayo. Despite this, the food was excellent.

The chicken was dry, the prices were ridiculous, and the service was awful. I noticed a clear difference in how the Hispanic customers were treated compared to me. I'm also pretty sure they purposely forgot to bag one of my items. And to top it off, there were issues with my takeout order! Seriously?! This place is nothing more than an overpriced fast food joint. Save yourself the trouble and head to one of the many better restaurants just a short walk away in either direction.
