Teote House Cafe - Jennings Lodge

Maybe it's different when you dine in, but we ordered food to go and nothing was what it claimed to be on the menu. I ordered the nachos and only received chips, smoky queso, and queso fresco. No smoked gouda or crema. Honey butter arepa was hard and dry with no hint of honey or butter. Terrible first impression. Jalapeño arepa had no jalapeño in it.

Music is a bit loud, but the delicious food and drinks make up for it. Try the Pina lemon margarita with Mezcal…heaven!

Such good smokey queso and street stew! Love this place- a true hidden gem of Portland.

Despite the smaller seating situation and no more outdoor, back patio, this remains one of my favorite places for food in Portland. I only get my orders to go now and every ordered is fulfilled quickly and without errors. The customer service is still excellent and the food can serve a wide variety of dietary needs.

Really miss the upper patio that they closed during the pandemic but I love the food and drinks.
