Excellent food. Worth a look if you’re into Mediterranean food.

This restaurant, the food, the staff, the owners were beyond stellar. This is authentic Middle Eastern food that brought me back to where I grew up. Absolutely incredible. I was in Portland for four days and I went back to this place twice. That tells you enough. Not a single thing to critique. The chicken shawarma rice bowl, the mezze, the taboulli, the cheesecakes. JUST WOW. GO AND EXPERIENCE IT FOR YOURSELF. NYIF will take such great care of you! I need them to expand and open in NYC asap!!!

Top notch from the hospitality, to the food, and the ambience. I started off with the lentil soup, chickpea/hummus w/ pita bread for appetizers (both were amazing in terms of flavor and balance . For the entrée, the roasted chicken w/ rice topped with fried onions (and tangy cilantro/tomato vinaigrette? was simple, delicious with the perfect combination of spices. I couldn't help but end the meal with the Basboosa since I love any semolina based dessert it was moist, had the right amount of sweetness, and paired perfectly with the karak tea (saffron/cardamom tea . I also observed a lovely gesture when the host offered a drink (at no cost to an Uber Eats driver while he waited for his order. Overall, a very positive experience at this lovely restaurant and I wish them continued success!

We stumbled on to this restaurant based on a dish i like a lot called Mendi . The dish originates from Yemen! As we walked in we were greeted nicely and even though we didnt have a reservation we were accomodated with seating upon a short wait! The appetizeres tasted amazing. The babaganoj was superb and authentic! The main dishes which included an egyptian dish called Koshari which were exquisite. The whole experience was great. We are defintely recommending this place to all our friends that are visiting Portland.

Dif from other halal mediterranean places. Tasty food. Great place to get Egyptian Koshari. Make a reservation for dine in. They fill up quick.
