Breaking Buns Food Cart

Never disappoints! Love their napa cold slaw salad that comes with the buns, always crunchy and yummy. Miso pork belly bun is so freakin good I keep coming back for MORE! The bun itself is so fluffy and most likely the best steamed bun you can find in town!

Holy miso this food was amazing. I even ordered door dash and the food was excellent quality. Which really tells you something about the owners and their quality and consistency. I got the beef buns and my wife got the fried rice with miso pork. Normally I don't care for miso because most places use too much, but not breaking buns! It was flavored perfectly. And the beef buns were extremely flavorful. It was a sweet BBQ style on the beef, sour from the pickled onions(I think? , freshness from the cilantro, and I don't know what the sauce was but that just tied it together with an umami kick in your mouth. Oh and just to add your little extra texture, there's some sort of small nut chunk dusting which was a pleasant surprise. And I must say, it came with this Napa cabbage slaw. This slaw... is amazing. Hands down the BEST slaw I've EVER had and I've been traveling around being a chef for 7 years. I can't explain it, i am stumped on what actual spices are inside. You just HAVE to try it. The slaw goes perfectly with the buns. I kept taking big bites of the buns and the spoonfuls of slaw. I know it was too big, but I didn't care. The flavor... Worth it...

Un-freaking-believable! We have been sleeping on this place for far too long. Easily one of Portland's best. I almost didn't want to say anything, for fear that overpopularity would ruin this glorious gem. Can't wait to go back.

The people running the show are amazing! Always quick to pick up phone calls. I can order in advance and and come for quick pickup and payments with food all ready for me. Pork Buns are my go to. Prices are extremely reasonable! I come here because it's quality food and doesn't break the bank for me. Best spot. 100/10

The folks running this cart are superb at what they do. The food is delicious I especially recommend the miso pork belly buns, but everything is good and the service is never anything less than perfect no matter how terrible the weather or late the night.
