I do agree to some extent, but with one important note - I only noticed this during lunch hours. The restaurant closes at 3pm to prepare for the busy dinner rush, so if you're looking for a quick late lunch, it may not be possible depending on the time of your visit. However, I found my lunch experience with my guest to be extremely relaxing. We enjoyed chatting and having an appetizer before our main course was served. It might be helpful for the restaurant to inform customers around 2pm that there may be a wait. The meal itself was fantastic. While the prices may be considered high, the quality of the food justifies it. The Babagenoush was exceptional, surpassing my previous favorite restaurant for this dish. The owner mentioned that the use of expensive virgin olive oil contributes to the prices. The restaurant sources fresh, high-quality ingredients as well. I was pleased to discover this gem of a restaurant. The only drawback would be the inconvenient location and limited parking. Overall, I believe you will enjoy dining here. Give it a chance and engage with the friendly staff. On a side note, some may be deterred by an empty restaurant, but I found it to be a pleasant surprise as it allowed for personal interaction with the owner and a quiet dining experience.
I went to this restaurant over the weekend for a double date. It was recommended to me by a friend's mom, and I was not disappointed! The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxed. The waitstaff were friendly and attentive. The highlight was the delicious food - even though we each ordered our own dishes, we ended up sharing because it was so tasty. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for unique but approachable food.
If you are a fan of Mediterranean cuisine, be sure to check out this restaurant! The service is a bit slow, possibly due to the small kitchen with only one person working. However, the wait is worth it. My favorite dishes are the beet salad, grilled octopus, and chicken kabobs. They serve fresh seafood daily, but I once had a bad experience with the scallops. Although they initially disagreed, they did remove the dish from the bill. After waiting a few months to return, we now avoid ordering the scallops and have enjoyed everything else we've tried. Despite being empty during busy times, I hope the restaurant does not close down anytime soon.
This place is phenomenal. The food is authentic and delicious. This is such a hidden gem that more people should try. To addresses the “slowness” sometimes it is and sometimes it isn’t. This is a family run restaurant and I’d much rather wait a little longer here than go elsewhere.
I ordered take-out for New Year’s Eve. Hummus, Babaganoush, Chicken Pastilla, Chicken Tagine with Apricots Roasted Almonds, and Berber. Everything was absolutely divine! Not a single complaint to be had. Even my kids loved everything and wanted more! I am disappointed I didn’t order more, we didn’t have enough leftovers. (Orders are enough for 1 person, not really for sharing) But then we have reason to come back again! I didn’t see the inside of the restaurant, but my husband did and he said it’s beautiful inside, excellent atmosphere. Highly recommend if you love food with flavor!
