Wee Pub Beach - JEKYLL ISLAND

Fantastic dining experience! The food was exquisite and the service exceptional, with everyone being very friendly. Be sure to try the bread pudding for dessert—it's a must! The fries were spot on too.

The waiter was new, we were the second table he had done on his own, but he did a good job. I had fish and chips, naturally, and L had the bangers and mash, with some Strongbow cider, quite good. The other thing that would have made it better would have been for the fish to have been cod, cod makes the best fish and chips.

Our server, Nick, did a stellar job. He was just the right amount of chatty, friendly, perceptive and kind. My order of bangers and mash was delicious. And huge! I couldn't eat much more than half of it. The bangers were smaller than expected but they were flavorful, plentiful and grilled to perfection. The mash was not what I expected, being made from waxy potatoes and a bit dense, but they were well seasoned and tasty. Topping the dish with crunchy fried and fresh green onions was a brilliant flavor choice and made for a nice presentation. Anything I would have changed? Just a bit more of the delicious brown gravy that accompanied the mash would have been nice. Paired with a cold hard cider, the bangers and mash were so close to the same dish I've enjoyed in the UK that I was quite happy. I look forward to visiting the Wee Pub again sometime!

Fish and chips were amazing. The batter and crispness on point. And yeah beer good too...lol definitely happy with the decision to come in.

This place is truly a gem. The location is fantastic—it's close to the university and just a short walk to the sea if you want to enjoy some beach time afterward. The staff is incredibly friendly and skilled at what they do. The atmosphere is cozy, yet calm and peaceful at the same time. The food is absolutely amazing. I had a Reuben sandwich and fries. The sandwich was perfect, and the fries were warm and delicious. For dessert, I ordered the Ooey Gooey Butter Cake, which was out of this world. It had the ideal buttery flavor.
