Walked past the window to see my food had been sitting there for 5+ minutes while other peoples food at my table was getting made. The food for me was cold to the touch. Not hot at all. We left.
Do not recommend eating here if you have celiac or gluten allergy. Our server was super nice about it. However, the manager made fun of my allergy and acted as if it was not even a thing. We sat next to the kitchen so I could hear and see his actions. I ordered the baked potato chicken without onions (they are breaded) and said I had a gluten allergy. My food was brought out with two pieces of toast, touching my food. This has never happened to me. I was a little distraught asked them to send it back because even a little bit of cross-contamination can affect me. Server was very helpful not being her at fault. Manager left as soon as it became a problem to leave his staff to deal with it. Super upset, because I really wanted to enjoy going with my fiancé since he had never been.
Change it back, please. It's my favorite, White Chilli but something happened, too thin.
We never eat out anymore, but I was craving some queso, I didn't want to cook..So we decided to call in for carry out. I get it's a Saturday, and I'm sure they were a bit busy...but some advice staff, if someone calls and asks if they can order carry out..if you are slammed say so!! Give a wait time, something. Most of us have worked on food service get it. First off when the girl answered she just said Yeah. I wasn't sure at first I even called the right number. I asked if I could order carry out. She said Yeah, one minute put me on hold..10+ minutes later, nothing.. It was just one red flag after another. This is the second time something like this has happened and prevented us from even eatting there. They insinuated last time we actually ordered they were busy, and when we got there they were dead so Idk this time if it was they were busy or lazy...It's a 50/50 anymore if the staff is kind and helpful, or trash.. idk why this location is like this, the one in New Albany is and has always been amazing. Food and staff. Considering it's almost $50 for our usual order of 2 burritos, rice, beans, and queso that has shrank to half the size it once was. It's just not worth it. The last time we attempted to order is the same day of the last few reviews with photos of the food looking like a mess. So I guess it's a good thing the girl ghosted me tonight. We will not be back anytime soon... We ended up going out and seeing who had the shortest line...It was Taco Bell by Rural King. They were polite, professional, that girl at the window had the cleanest, most pressed unform I've ever seen, hair neat, she was adorable. Our food was hot, correct, tasted good, extra sauce without asking, the bag was even organized so nothing was crushed, quickly done...You got outdone by Taco Bell. Tumbleweed needs to reevaluate themselves and some of their staff..
Not the Tumbleweed I remember. The two areas that this place excelled in were the quality of service and the cleanliness of the restaurant. I ordered the Taco Salad with pulled pork and it was so devoid of flavor I barely ate half. Iceberg lettuce, topped with some pulled pork, tender but bland, cheese, and sour cream. I used ranch dressing that I added Chula hot sauce to make it spicy, this was all the flavor I could taste. For the price, I would never order it again. No tomatoes, no other vegetables. Mom ordered the chimichangas and they were filling but also had minimal flavor and were a little greasy . Even the salsa tasted like ketchup with chunks of tomato. No salt, no onion, no garlic. I asked for the spicy salsa and it was just more runny and no heat. This just isn 't the Tumbleweed from years ago. Sad to see the quality suffer so bad especially for the price we paid for 3 people to eat an early dinner $28. Plus tip. I doubt I will be going back.
