Overlander Mountain Lodge - Jasper

Some pros and some cons, so I'd say that my experience at Overlander gets 3 stars all around. Pros: -The patio is breathtaking.

Conveniently located about 30 miles outside of Jasper We were here for two nights.

No phones or TVs in the roomsMaybe the cabins do but not the main lodgeThere are only 10 rooms in the lodge.

My husband and I went out for dinner at Overlander Mountain Lodge - Stone Peak Restaurant. I had BC Cod and the cheesecake for desert - my dinner was one of the best that I have had in a long time. The service was outstanding . We had a table by the window and looked over the treetops in the valley to the mountains. This is the first time I have wished there was a 5 plus rating on Trip Advisir. Truly a wonderful, memorable evening - we will be back!

We stayed at the log house (3 bedroom, 2.5 Bath) for 3 days. The place is very comfortable with a big wrap around deck with a grill. House was very clean and came with fully equipped kitchen.Pros: Close to Hinton (Walmart, Safeway etc.); can cook and eat in. Nice place to chill in the evenings, will house big families.Cons: Long drive to most of the key points in Jasper. Closest is Meitte Hot springs.
