The food is amazing and the staff is super friendly
Great food, excellent and friendly staff. Would recommend!
We were driving by the area and decided to try La Rumba after reading the reviews. We were super excited to stop by and have some Puerto rican cuisine while sponsoring a local place. The place is a dancehall turned restaurant. The music was extremely loud with no one there. The menu presented is from Christmas... we are in June. The entree was brought out in a paper plate. The prices were pretty fair since they include the non-alcoholic drink. The food was disappointing, we ordered the bacalaitos, they were hard and we are pretty sure they were the Goya mix with nothing else. The tripleta never arrived since the bread man never brought the bread ... we get informed 50 minutes later, there is no one at the restaurant except for us and one other customer ... We decided to just share my husbands entree the Garlic Chicken with tostones and arroz con gandules. It was a salt bomb! The chicken was bathed in adobo and the sauce was extremely salty, the arroz con gandules was just OK, the tostones were the best thing we had, they were amazing. Also, no one at the restaurant was wearing a mask.
We stopped on a whim walking by. So glad we did. Every dish was excellent, garlic chicken, fried pork, beef and cheese stuffed plantains, pigeon pea rice. And large portions. The owner could not have been nicer or provided better service.
