Tandoori Curry Indo Chinese (rockaway Blvd)

The food here is fantastic! I love Indian cuisine and try it wherever I go. The dishes are nicely spicy, which I appreciate, but the restaurant also adjusts the spice levels to your preference. I’ll definitely be coming back!

After an unexpectedly long flight delay with Jet Blue, we set out to find the nearest Indian restaurant and discovered this hidden gem. The positive reviews on Google caught our attention, so we decided to give it a try. The food was fantastic, and we loved the personal touch provided by the husband-and-wife team from Nepal.

We found this place on Google and so happy that we did! It’s next to a gas station, literally a hole in the wall with two small tables. We ordered the butter chicken and the chicken kadai and garlic naan bread. The husband was cooking everything fresh, I mean everything! While the wife was chopping up fresh vegetables. The food was absolutely delicious! So much flavor and the perfect amount of spicy! The portion size was huge, comes with rice and a salad. The naan bread was so warm and soft and was perfect for dipping. For $11.99 how could you go wrong! Made to order the freshest you can get! The owners were so kind and made sure that everything was perfect. When ordering there was a little language barrier and accidentally ordered a extra item, but she was quick to make it right. I would highly recommend coming here, it might look a little “iffy” on the outside but I’ll tell you this, this is some of the best Indian food that my girlfriend and I have ever had. Must try!!

Overnight at a crummy hotel a half block from Tandoor Kitchen. I'd put up with the hotel to be able to eat here again. The food was outstanding and a generous portion! These people know how to cook!

We ordered samosas, chicken korma, plain naan, and shrimp fried rice. Everything was delicious! My wife particularly loved the korma and naan, while the shrimp fried rice was a standout for me. The staff was incredibly friendly, too— they even offered my son a complimentary mango lassi to try and gave me some spicy sauce to go with my meal. We will definitely be returning!
