Thinking the bad experience was just a fluke, I decided to give the restaurant another chance a few days later. Unfortunately, after eating that meal, I became very ill—not just that night, but the following day as well. I couldn’t pinpoint the cause until my third takeaway order. This time, I ordered two more dinner specials and shared a small plate with my roommate. When he cut into his egg rolls and smelled a foul odor, I picked up the same scent from my food. We called the restaurant to inform them about the issue, explaining that this was the third time in two weeks we encountered spoiled food. They speculated that the bad smell may occur if the food has been left sitting out all day, and promised that the manager would call us back. As we waited for the response, we couldn't help but wonder how long they actually keep spoiled food and why they would sell it to us, especially since it was so foul-smelling. Surely, someone in the kitchen would’ve noticed the unpleasant odor when preparing our meals. When the manager finally called back, we explained our situation and mentioned that we still had all the food if they wanted to see it. To our surprise, the manager refused to take the spoiled food back or replace it with fresh meals. Instead of issuing a refund for the two dinners, they offered us two extra egg rolls on our next order. I was astounded—why would I want to spend another $50 to potentially receive more spoiled food in exchange for a couple of egg rolls? Given my experience, I seriously considered reporting them to the Board of Health for selling food that may have been left out too long. The smell was so putrid that it was evident this wasn’t merely food beginning to spoil; I suspect it had been sitting out all day, then placed in the refrigerator, only to sit out again before being sold. Though I didn’t report them, I have made the decision not to return to this restaurant ever again.
It would be great to have a menu available on Google or on a website so that customers can check out what you offer!
This place is amazing. The owner Sue I'd incredible. Also the bar tender Lee is awesome. Lee's mom also works here In the kitchen and she is such a great lady that everyone would love.
