Tepary Southwest Grill - Jacumba

Jacumba is a bit remote, but my 89-year-old blind friend wanted to dine at one of his favorite places before the outdoor dining lockdown took effect. Despite an average breakfast, the scenic surroundings and company were delightful. However, the service at the restaurant left much to be desired. When my friend tried to use the restroom, he was directed to a dangerous area with worn out markings. The waitress seemed unconcerned about the potential hazards and was careless with handling dishes. Despite leaving a generous tip, we were left disappointed by the lack of attention to safety and customer service. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to this restaurant in the future. The rest of our day in Jacumba was enjoyable, aside from this dining experience.

I had Thanksgiving dinner at this restaurant two years ago and it was fantastic. I would have returned last year, but I decided not to go out because it was snowing. I just checked (11/15/20) and saw that they will be open for outdoor dining and takeout on Thanksgiving. I highly recommend it.

There are always individuals, whether they be grumpy old men or hipsters, who believe they should be praised for their ability to drive beyond their comfort zone. If you read any 1 or 2-star reviews, you'll see this. However, I must say that my companion and I received exceptional service at this restaurant. Our server, who I believe was named something like Starchild or Raven or Moonbeam, was truly a delight. Just watch her and Lacy make a fantastic cocktail. Furthermore, the bar burger I had was incredibly tasty. If you're wondering why you should visit this establishment if you're not a local, it's because staying home is boring, and life is short. Give it a try and experience something new.

The Grilled Southwest Club is exceptional and top-notch.

We were out for a Sunday drive and stopped in for a late lunch. The food was good, the service was small-town wonderful, the ambiance was nice. We hope to be back soon.
