Village Bread Cafe - Jacksonville

Yesterday for lunch and decided to have the Village Club and Bread Pudding. The Village Club was very good and the bread pudding was very tasty and she also warm. Will come back.

This place has tons of breakfast items of pancake? french toast. It was pretty busy at 9 a.m.-10 a.m. and so I wasn't surprised by the wait. But after 30 minutes it seemed a little long for what we received. I wanted to like the food, the people were friendly, but everything else was just below average. The French toast had no taste (it looked pretty though the strawberries were sour), the eggs were simple (what I think is normal, ha), the hash browns were really no different from other restaurants like Denny's, and the sausages reminded me of the high school. The pancakes were good, but if I'm honest, I liked the ihop pancakes a few weeks ago - a little more. I want to see places like this glow, but I was just disappointed with the taste.

Once again with my mini and me we have our food to go, only in case it was raining... fortunately we did, even though it was a sweet and big café. it has poured. We have cookies and Gravy. Club Sandwas. And a tuna sand with fruit and chips on the side. They were super fast and cheap. The cookies are homemade and beautiful and soft and buttery. The engraving had a lot of sausages a lil salty but delicious. The tuna was very refreshing and the bread and salad and tomatoes all the good quality of the club could have used more Mayo and more meat, but otherwise all the tasty we will be safe again. Also the location is a little hard to find because the shield is low

Amazing food and friendly staff! You get big portions and the prices are reasonable. I brought my husband to my second visit and it's his new Fave. We went to breakfast so glad I stumbled in this place!

I ordered through DoorDash only to find that they were over priced (not including the DD increased pricing) for being so under portioned. I paid way too much for the small portion that I received. Also, my eggs weren't cooked properly, there was absolutely NO runny yoke for the Eggs Benedict and the side order of salmon was a 2 1/2 inch square and WAY OVER COOKED!!!! Will not order from them again!
