Struts (wings, Burgers Fries)

We have only been to Struts once and although the staff were friendly and it's a fun atmosphere, the menu is not that great. Most items are frozen, fried foods and overly processed...we just left feeling blah because we normally eat whole healthy foods and this was too much fried for our taste. It would really do the community a great service if they could have a fresh take on sports bar type food. Fried is fine if it's fresh and battered and fried but I think I could really get most of their food from the tgif brand appetizers at Walmart ‍ and if that is the case, they are WAY overpriced.

Sort of a divey sports bar right in the heart of JSU. Known for wings, burgers, and the typical bar foods. I had the XL buffalo chicken tater and it was very tasty. The hot sauce had good flavor but in truth was not that hot. Good sweet tea and friendly vibe from a college town staple. When in Jacksonville and in the mood for a laid back atmosphere, this is your place. p.s. keep an eye on the that service charge if with a larger group. They got me this time!

I stopped by here to kill time before meeting up with a friend. I started with the egg rolls and gig the XL tater as my entree. The egg rolls were magical lol. They are rolled in not your typical 'egg roll ' dough. They were soft yet crispy on the outside and jam packed full of flavor on the inside. The tater was great as well. I got The broccoli and cheese, no cheese add bbq chicken (hello, difficult customer lol). The waitress was very nice and accommodating and brought extra sauce for me to add on top. I would definitely come back to this soon

We have ate at Struts for two days in a row. From delicious burgers to tasty salads we have been pleased. The staff is always pleasant and accommodating.

A slow Friday afternoon leading into a busy Friday night. The staff was a little overwhelmed most of the time. Wings: order the wings. Lots of flavors to choose from, one is sure to please your palate. Beer: decent selection of bottles and cans. Only a few craft taps. I tasted what I think was a strawberry sour. Didn't order a full glass. Sandwiches: my grandson's burger was huge and juicy. Fries looked good. My wife's wrap was bland. Salads: also huge. But, it's still a salad and the chicken had no flavor. Pulled pork: don't bother. No smoke flavor, small cup of sauce on the side. The tots were good. I should have listened to the look on the server's face when I asked about the veggies. She said no one likes them. I now know why: a mushy blend of green beans, zucchini, summer squash, red bell pepper and possible other unidentifiable vegetables. The prices: pretty reasonable. $10 burger, $10 wrap, $14 for 10 wings, $12.50 salad (with chicken , $9 tater skins. The bartender made half our drink order twice so we got two free beers. And the server was cute, smart and fun. interior was clean and open, windows let in lots of light, tv screens circle the room all tuned to various sporting events (cornhole? . I've been coming here for twenty years and know what to expect. Only three stars but still one of your better options in Jacksonville.
