Soul Food Bistro - Jacksonville

Finally, it had the opportunity to visit the nearby location as they were a few miles away in the former outback at Regency. There was a short waiting in the queue and the back of the house line worked like a well oiled machine... No surprise as they have the best oxtails I had in town! Nice to see, post-pandemic, they still serve the best local soul food on a Sunday morning. Everyone from customers to employees was so friendly and social from the entrance to the exit. Thank you for being a delicious part of the community!

Friendly service today! The food was at the top. Even the Sweet Potato Pie brought me back to my childhood days of Mrs Berthas bake them fresh! Unfortunately, the Mac n cheese was a failure today. Usually 100. Since I was last here. In fact, they were in another place. Down there from Kernan Blvd. Anyway, I'll come back and bring my son. He loves her fried chicken.

The food was delicious! Had the ox tails. They were tender and fleshy. Had the fish and shrimp with Mac n cheese, green and sweet potato souffle. Thanks to Tangie for being an excellent host. She came to our table several times to make sure that we were all right to deliver refills and make sure that we knew our patronage was appreciated. Will return with family and friends.

I couldn't make pictures of my food, I always forget Lol, this place was much better than expected. They serve real southern style comfort food. The service is cafeteria style but none of the foods looked like it was dried out from heat lamps. They also have special items that are made to order, such as the fried fish I ordered. I had my orders to go so I don't know if they're different when you dive. I'd be more than happy to try them again to find out will definitely visit again.

The food is so good but the restaurant itself is amazing the staff is loving and welcoming especially Mrs.Tangy. and Celise is the best.... I love her attitude and attentiveness as well as Mrs Tangy.... The whole staff are really nice n accommodating.... I love this location
