River City Brewing Company

Nice restaurant with view of St. Johns River. Food taste great but menu is very small and prices are high. Expect to pay an average of $25.00 per plate. And that’s just the entree. The beer is inexpensive though. I've been to better places. I would not go again.

While visiting the Jacksonville area I had the privilege of dining at this wonderful establishment and I must admit that this place was first rate through and through. The food was as near perfect as possible and the overall atmosphere left me wanting more. I have dined at much more expensive restaurants however the quality of the food here surpassed many of them and the value was unspeakable when compared with many of them. This is definitely a place I would eat at over and over again.

I adore this restaurant! It’s located right by the water, offering a stunning view. The white linen tables and soft candlelight create a wonderfully romantic atmosphere. The ideal time to visit is during the holidays and New Year when they have everything beautifully decorated. The food is excellent, especially their fresh fish specials, which are always a treat. My husband and I enjoy dining here. Lunch is decent too, and the prices are more reasonable, but the ambiance is simply more appealing in the evening. Plus, they have a deck where you can dance!

During my first visit to RBC, someone in our group mentioned that they have a new head chef. I’m not sure if that’s the case, but a change would definitely be beneficial right now. The food lacked flavor, and my salmon was a bit undercooked. While the service was acceptable, it was not exceptional; I shouldn’t have to ask for something three times. To top it off, we were informed at the end that a 19% gratuity was automatically added to our bill. This should be clearly stated on a large sign at the entrance and boldly printed at the top of the menu. It comes off as a tacky practice. Overall, this place feels pretentious but fails to deliver on its promises.

I really enjoyed the fresh fish, which came in a nice portion. The service was outstanding, and the view of the city skyline was fantastic. Overall, it offers great value compared to other restaurants of a similar caliber.
