The dining room and restroom are very clean. The service is outstanding. I highly recommend the Cherry Limeade and the Sweet Maui Onion chips—they're absolutely delicious!
Larry's is a fantastic spot! It has been a staple in my life since childhood, so it holds a special place in my heart among all the restaurants in Jacksonville. I usually stick to the Kongs Club, so I can’t comment much on their other subs. I’m not a fan of their desserts, but if you're looking for a generously sized sub, I highly recommend trying Larry's.
I've had a few sandwiches from Larry's in the past year since moving to Jacksonville. I've tried the corned beef Reuben and the Jake sandwich. Today, I ordered the chicken breast parmesan. The bread was decent, and there was a reasonable amount of cheese, but the chicken was very scarce, and the sauce was even less. For $15, I felt like I was shortchanged, as if the sandwich maker made a more generous one for himself with my money! I won't be going back to Larry's.
The food is decent, but after spending $36.00 on two subs and two drinks, I don’t think I’ll be returning anytime soon. The sandwiches aren't as generous as typical New York sandwiches, and while there is a full sit-down menu with service, the prices feel a bit excessive for what you get.
