Bodrum is easily the highest quality Mediterranean restaurant in Jacksonville. It's owned and operated by a friendly and highly professional group of Turks and it shows in the quality of the food. Most restaurants in the area selling similar food have a terrible tendency to overcook, use bad ingredients or dump nausea inducing quantities of sumac, basil or any other variety of spices. Not here. This is the genuine article. Furthermore, the staff are very attentive to the needs of the customers and the size of the eatery provides a intimate yet low key environment to enjoy your meal. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a gyro or a slice of baklava!
Had an excellent lunch-dinner meal here. Terrific atmosphere and table service, and not a single part of our meal was anything other than delicious. Highly recommend the falafel and lamb sauté.
They continue to host an old website that shows incorrect pricing. I chose my items and added their totals and it came to around $89. I ordered over the phone and wasn't given a total. Upon arrival I was told that my total was $117. So I asked what the deal was and the gentlemen informed me that it was an old website that was linked to Google. It honestly felt like I was just an annoyance to the gentleman helping me.I didn't feel like arguing as my wife was waiting in the car, but it felt like a low effort answer and like they don't care that I was mislead. If you own a website with incorrect pricing then you need to stop hosting it. The price spike of over 30% is not a good surprise. It feels dishonest. The food was good, but the aftertaste left by my experience isn't going anywhere any time soon.
The restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere inside. Customer Serv was good, I had take out. The chicken soup was excellent, lamb gyro was good it had enough meat. The only problem I can see is if you are getting it to go the sauce should be in a side container instead of on the gyro itself. I say this because by time you get to eat it you will need to reheat it and having the sauce in it doesn't work well. Other than that it was okay for me.
