Back Porch Bbq - Jacksonville

We used Back Porch BBQ to cater our micro wedding and I’m thrilled that we did! The food was delicious! They arrived on time and worked well with our other vendors. They even checked in a few days after our event to make sure we were happy! Professional, friendly, and leftovers for days!!!

I have long stopped taking pictures of their fantastic food, let's just say it is a weekly experience for our family. We like to go a little early at 4:00 or 4:30 so that we can get a table before the rush. My husband and I don't really even look at the menu anymore we know what we like and so do the waitresses. If you like really good smoked meat, amazing sides and an old time barbecue atmosphere, this will be the place that you will love. Although we never go into the lounge because we don't drink, there is always a happy sound coming out of there.

Brisket really needed the sauce. It's almost like the brisket wasn't seasoned at all. It was juicy, and there was plenty of it, but it was so flavorless. Sauce was good though! Also, brisket should come with pickles and onions on the side. You really need something to cut that fat, and the not very good bread wasn't helping. My wife's chicken and steak combo was not hot, and was just okay. The jojos were great, and so was the dinner salad. Service was great too! This was our first time here, so I'm not sure if the food can be hit or miss. Whatever the case, tonight's dinner felt like a miss.

Great food with a casual atmosphere. Great burgers and amazing ahi tacos. Service consistently good too. Update: still our favorite restaurant in Jacksonville! Tip well: the waitresses are great and they do all the bussing too.

Waitress a bit overwhelmed but did well... Food always very good there.
