Matsu Japanese Steak House Sushi

The food was horrible and tasted like it was 3 days old. Over priced food, the service was slow and unprofessional and unfriendly. Horrible food (both sushi and grill , crappy environment (sushi bar, grill table, restroom... , the restroom no tissue, soap, snippy wait staff. Nothing Japanese about the place only the name. My girl friend nearly fainted when the tempura dish came complete with a dead spider in it, the manager wouldn’t even give us our money back. I've had a better meal at Publix. Matsu is a worst Japanese restaurant in Jacksonville area. Was this review helpful to you?

The staff and chef were very friendly and the food was excellent. We had a wonderful time.

Very bad service. The cashier/hostess was extremely rude to me when I asked for a breakdown of charges on my take-out. She charged me a different price than what was published, added an extra $0.75. The terrible service left a bitter taste in my mouth.... avoid this place. This really isn't Japanese food. The prices are sky-high, including Coke. There's too many wonderful Japanese steakhouses in beach area (Chizu, Ichiban) to put yourself through this. Would not return for round 2.
