Donatos Pizza - Jacksonville Beach

The pizza was good, featuring a nice thin crust, though it wasn’t my favorite. Overall, the price for lunch was quite reasonable.

I decided to visit this restaurant on a whim, despite my neighbors' suggestions. Overall, my experience was just average. The $8 personal pizza was about the size of my hand and honestly quite bland. While it wasn't bad, it definitely wasn't memorable either. I did manage to enhance it a bit with some Parmesan cheese. On the other hand, my son's calzone was significantly better; it seemed to be twice the size and was only $1 less. It had a nice crunchy crust, and the dipping sauce was surprisingly delicious. In summary, my experience was okay—not great, but not terrible either. I did deduct a star because they only offered bottled water and didn't provide basic cups of water. On a positive note, the service was friendly and we only had to wait 20 minutes for our food.

We ordered the large Italian Trio, which included pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, wings, and bottled drinks. It took about 25 minutes for our food to arrive. The restaurant seemed to have a steady stream of walk-in customers and a few drive-thru orders. The pizza was quite good—definitely above average for chain pizza. However, the wings were just the standard frozen Tyson-style wings with buffalo sauce added. If you're considering chain pizza, I would recommend Donatos for better options, or even better, visit a local pizzeria.

What a great experience at @904donatos! We were excited to win a free one-topping pizza, and of course, we couldn't resist getting some garlic asiago cheese bread as well.
