Pho Today - Jacksonville

I stumbled across Pho Today when I was eating next door last time I was in the area, and today was the day to give this place a try. Mind you, I'm a HUGE fan of Vietnamese food. Growing up, many of my close friends were Vietnamese, so we frequented many Pho restaurants. And unlike most of my friends who favored Pho, my all time favorite dish is Bun Thit Nuong, which is rice vermicelli and charbroiled pork. First off, portion size. This had to be the biggest bowl of Bun Thit Nuong I ever had. This can easily feed two. As for the taste, MAN! This was the absolutely BEST Bun Thit Nuong I've ever had in my life. And I've had some spectacular bowls back in the day. Fish sauce! Their fish sauce was on point. Full of flavor and accentuated the already tasty dish. I also had their Ca Phe, which is a strong ice coffee and condensed milk. I started making this at home because I was having a hard time finding a place that made quality Ca Phe, but theirs was fantastic. So happy to have found my Vietnamese restaurant. Oh yeah, service was also amazing. Highly recommend Pho Today! Tomorrow! Or any other day for that matter.

I have always been impressed with the food at this restaurant. The service here is fantastic, with very friendly and attentive servers. During my last visit, I tried the rare steak pho and was pleased with the generous amount of noodles, steak, and broth. The toppings provided were ample, but you can request more if needed. The dumplings are outstanding and the fried rice is delicious. I have been a loyal customer of Pho Today for over 8 years and cannot imagine eating pho anywhere else in Jacksonville. This is without a doubt the best spot for pho.

I have been visiting this restaurant for approximately 7 or 8 years now. Every time I visit, it is consistently a fantastic experience, whether dining in or getting takeout. My order is always accurate, even when requesting no bean sprouts. During my most recent visit last week, I dined alone and the server (I believe his name is Kenny or Kevin) was incredibly kind, thoughtful, and attentive.

This was the 2nd vietnamese restaurant in jax that we have tried. I went with the pho dac biet and my wife had the pho bo with brisket, flank and rare steak. The soup broth was pretty good. The herbs were fresh and the service was good. Cost a a bit more than the previous place we had tried, but we would consider coming back for other items on the menu such as the bun bo hue, com, mi xiao, and bun rieu. Our server was pleasant, although I mistaken her for vietnamese when I initially ordered in vietnamese.
