The Gun Barrel Steak Game House

This is by far one of the best steak and game restaurants I have ever visited. The experience began on arrival when our original plan to sit our party of 10 was immediately fixed after we arrived. They had a table ready for us to go, which is not heard. The waitress was top-notch and made sure that our courses were taken exactly right. I had the mixed playboard containing a buffalo primary rib, venison bratwurst and an Elch Sirloin. I rarely ordered them and they were cooked for perfection. The taste of all three was from this world, but I have to give it to the main rib. There was no need for any concessions. The taste was definitely standing alone. If you are looking for an amazing steak dinner when you stay in Jackson Hole, don't waste your money anywhere else. The Gun Barrel is the way to go. They also have a great local beer selection, but I want to see that they have a fall or a porter. Don't get me wrong, but everything was great from start to finish!

From The hostess to our waiter to our meal it was an outstanding experience! Kitchen well ran food out very timely. I had Prime rib that was very good! Wine by Glass options could be broader but minor issue.

We enjoyed our experience very much. The food was very good, the service excellent and the kitchen prepared the food very quickly and properly. I had the Buffalo primary rib (which even enjoyed my wife, I finally got her to try Bison) and she had the trout. I highly recommend this place. Make reservations if possible, but the walk in wait was only 15 minutes on Sunday of work day weekend.

The meats were awesome, Buffalo, elk venison brat. Service was great dessert was awesome. Definitely would come back again strongly recommend.

Don’t be scared to try it!! The sampler game platter is delicious and well worth the experience!!
