Ixtamalco - Iztacalco

These little place is known for having some of the best and authentic Tamales in mexico. Very close to Iztacalco station, it was easy to find with a Tamales sign out the front. I don't speak Spanish well so it was a relief to have the owners speak fluent English and they were very welcoming and hospitable. The restaurant is relatively new so everything was update and clean. The kitchen is open and visible to the customers and hence i can say that the hygiene was excellent. And of course the food was amazing, fresh and tasty, Tamales are there specialty but they do a variety of great Tex-Mex meals. And cheap, ridiculously cheap, even for Mexico.
