I can't rave about this place enough! As if the aesthetics of this restaurant wasn't enough to convince you to give it a shot already, the food and hospitality make this a must try for anyone visiting Istanbul! The pancakes are warm, tasty, and made fresh by a local Turkish woman before your meal. They taste even better than they look! The food was also very affordable. The best part of this restaurant experience, however, was the atmosphere. Rasul, the owner, was welcoming and friendly from the moment we stepped foot into the door, to the moment we paid our bill. He gave us suggestions for what to do in Turkey as well as where to buy tea for the best prices. He made us feel at home and treated us to several rounds of tea at the end of our meal. We ended up coming back a second time to see him and have their delicious food! If you find yourself in Istanbul you absolutely must give Sultan Mehmet your attention!! They're opening another restaurant in San Francisco soon so be on the lookout!
