I told them I was allergic to milk (in Turkish) and they still put yoghurt on the dorms. I wonder if the other elements on the menu are actually vegan when you consider how uneducated they are on the thema.
I couldn’t really see the menu, but I just asked for vegan options. Lady behind the counter just showed me several different dishes in the pots and since I couldn’t decide I asked for everything. I could not finish it, but it was delicious. Highly recommend!
I came across this restaurant when i first came to Istanbul and back then i was clueless as to where to eat, i was beyond happy as i love homecooked food, i ordered to go and couldn't wait to get back to my motel to try it. Unfortunately everything turned out to be spoiled, like it was days old (it was kept in display outside not in a fridge) i through it in the bin, waste of money and a big shame. I feel sorry writing this for the lady owner was beyond nice and happy to serve me. But it is what it is. Updated from previous review on 2022-03-31
There are numerous vegan choices available at this restaurant. The food was enjoyable, but the bill ended up being higher than anticipated. We ended up paying 240 lira for two plates.
Most of the menu at this restaurant is vegetarian, with over half of the items being vegan. The atmosphere is very cozy, and the owner is lovely.
