If you are going to hurry them and make them feel unwelcome regardless of that is your intention or not, do not seat them. I love that I spent $101 for a less than normal experience. It just exudes greed, not customer service.
At first I was a bit skeptical, given it is a sushi restaurant in the middle of the suburbs. It is a nice and clean restaurant. I will say when dining in, the experience was better than any other sushi restaurants I have been to. Right when you are seated, they offered complimentary hot towels (to wipe your hands) and miso soups (that are amazingly good). We're big fans of seared salmon nigiri and it is a typically what we order when eating sushi, I can say that they were spot on! Good size pieces of quality fish. With the right amount of sauces. And the presentation was great! The food was pretty quick as well. Their service was friendly. Apart from their dine in experience, I have also ordered a bulgogi and California rolls to go. Still exceeded expectations, and was delicious! 10/10 would highly recommend!
This used to be a regular place for us, but they seem to be under a new management now and things are different. Food, employees and services We ordered three rolls; three times last my son (12yrs) liked it, the rolls were a little uneven but okay, Exit 18 roll this was a new one for us deep fried partially but I mostly tasted the cream cheese. The rolls were on the bigger size so a little difficult to eat. The Eldorado was a cleaner and leaner roll, I did enjoy this. But none of the rolls were memorable. Predictable place for weekday dinner though.
The caterpillar roll had a great taste with the avocado on top and crab on the inside. I really enjoyed the creativity from the chef in his/her adaptation of the the caterpillar creating some eyes and colorful toppings on the roll. I thought the double d roll was ok, but it tasted a little dry to me. I don't fault the restaurant on this at all as I misread the menu. I thought it would have more in it beside a double serving of fish. The service was extremely quick and professional. I think the restaurant would be a great place for a chill Sunday afternoon date.
Looks like the heyday for Aji Sushi is over. The good news is that there's no wait and the food is just as good. The service and Sushi Chef doesn't have the same gusto as pre pandemic days. The food still looks amazing.
