I prefer to eat and I like music. therefore the piano work in farringdon is a place that is very relevant to my interests. thanks to sarah at the prosecco diaries (for a Fab competition) and also the human league (for my winning song suggestion,) I have a meal and some cocktails there to experience and it was definitely a fun.
After I stood on my feet all day, I was looking forward to a night with good music and cocktails to start my weekend. . the piano works is located in the cellar of a Victorian lager in the heart of farringdon, is a creative one. space of live music and entertainment that tries to the tradition of Victorian music halls the fascinating, long forgotten days of smoking jazz lounges, swing balls
Simple food, a few confidently made cocktails and a bit of live music are all things that make a great night out, and all three are done fabulously well at The Piano Works. This late night newcomer is based in the heart of Farringdon, in a Victorian-listed warehouse. The premise at The Piano Works is simple – you write down whichever song you want to hear onto a napkin, give that napkin to a waitress who passes it on to the band. The band, formed of pianists, guitarists, saxophone players and an impassioned drummer, only play songs requested by napkin – a fabulous medium in which to communicate, by the way.
