I opted for a dish with Ethiopian scrambled eggs, served with onions, minced meat, peppers, and injera on the side, which was a new and tasty experience for me. The French bread offered was also well-cooked and a good value. The food was delicious with a nice balance of spiciness and flavor. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant for its good value, generous portions, and welcoming atmosphere.
During our lunch break near the Cinema Museum, we decided to try Ethiopian cuisine at St Gabriel's cafe. We were warmly welcomed as if we were esteemed friends and enjoyed a delicious spread of injera with wats, tibs, lentils, greens, and ayibe.
We have been a branch of st Gabriel cafe around kennington and elephant and castel. Good food waw. 154 Newington butts. London SE 11 4RN
This restaurant is really amazing. The food is hot and fresh, and the experience is wonderful. I've never been to an Ethiopian restaurant before, but I highly recommend trying this one. Keep up the good work!
I go to St Gabriel's all the time – of all the Ethiopian restaurants I've found in London, this is the cheapest (you can get a full meal for under a fiver, especially if you're sharing) and almost certainly the most delicious. It's very small and basic, so not the place for a formal sit-down meal – more of a cafe vibe. I normally get the vegetarian selection of 5 different dishes, which comes on the traditional injera pancake and is pretty enormous (probably too much for one person unless you're really hungry). On the few occasions that I've ordered meat dishes, these have been yummy too. Also, the music they play is awesome.
