Or a simple, but still very well done, eggs and avocado. Not only the food is amazing but the furniture and interior design is really unique and well curated. there is a nice (but expensive) shop connected to the restaurant as well.
Just to the left of the bar area is a room with one table seating six persons, and this provided a perfect place for a business lunch for six. The service was of high quality, and the food delicious. There was a minor blip in that the restaurant had run out of the Chablis we ordered, but otherwise the experience was very good indeed. Almost like private dining! Well done.
Visited on Easter Monday. Staff were super friendly. Venue wasn't busy but still had a great atmosphere. Food was good especially the sensational chips cooked in beef dripping fantastic! Despite there being no desserts on the Brunch menu the Chef was more than happy to rustle up four delicious puddings. We truly enjoyed our meal and I recommend a visit. Don't forget to have a wander through the shop before or after.
Went for dinner with friends at 155 food was good and affordable although it can be hit and miss with the food quantity. Dessert were average. Good wine although beware of the rip off with dessert wine: Cockburn ruby dressed as vintage port: a drop for a tenner. I know vintage port. This was not it! Toilets are shocking. Would I go back? ... Nope
I pass 155 Bar Kitchen regularly whilst walking from Kings Cross down to central London. The first time I visited, I was looking for somewhere to have a coffee that wasn 't one of the standard coffee shops, and somewhere I could do some work for 30 minutes. I was immediately approached and asked what I 'd like, when I explained I was after a coffee I was directed through the bar restaurant area to some more lounge-style seating where I 'd be more comfortable and my coffee arrived in due course. A little while later I was asked if I needed anything else, and I 'd enjoyed the coffee so much that I asked for another one in about ten minutes . A carafe of water then arrived, and my second coffee followed in almost exactly the ten minutes. The service, atmosphere and quality of the coffee was so good that I 've popped in several times over the last month, including visiting for breakfast yesterday. The full breakfast is astoundingly good, and generous, and great value at £9. I could not have hoped for a better start to my day. When I walked back up Farringdon Road towards Kings Cross later in the day I saw the gentleman who 'd served me at breakfast time walking towards me: no doubt he 'd had a busy day between my breakfast and 4pm, but I received a big smile and wave and enquiry if I 'd had a good day.I 'm really looking forward to visiting for dinner next week, and no doubt will follow that up with another breakfast visit.Thank you!
